Engineering Open Day ideal for inquisitive people

​Inquisitive people of all ages have something wonderful to look forward to. Those who are interested in how things work, will be enchanted by all the interesting and exciting exhibits at the Faculty of Engineering's Open Day on 20 April 2013. This popular annual event focuses on how engineers use science and technology to improve the world.

High school learners who love mathematics and science should definitely attend. At the Open Day they will find out more about the creative world of the engineer and this will enable them to make an informed choice regarding their future career.

The day offers good, educational entertainment for the whole family, and school groups are also welcome to attend.

Pop in any time between 09:00 and 15:00 at the Engineering complex, corner of Banghoek Road and Joubert Street (opposite the Traffic Department), Stellenbosch. A tour of all the exhibits should take about three hours. However, you can plan your route according to the time you have available.

There will also be sessions during which the Faculty's degree programmes and other important information for prospective students will be explained.

Admission is free of charge and everyone is welcome. See you there!

Titel: Ingenieurswese Opedag net die plek vir nuuskierige agies

Nuuskierige agies, jonk en oud, het iets lekkers om na uit te sien. Almal wat geïnteresseerd is in hoe dinge werk, sal hulle op Saterdag 20 April 2013 kan verlustig aan interessante en opwindende uitstallings en demonstrasies by die Fakulteit Ingenieurswese Opedag​.  Die gewilde jaarlikse geleentheid toon aan hoe ingenieurs wetenskap en tegnologie tot voordeel van die mensdom inspan.

Hoërskoolleerders wat lief is vir wiskunde en wetenskap moet vir seker bywoon, want dié dag sal hulle 'n kykie gee in die skeppende wêreld van 'n ingenieur, en hulle in staat stel om 'n ingeligte besluit oor hul toekomstige loopbaan te neem.

Die dag bied goeie, leersame vermaak vir die hele gesin, en skolegroepe van enige grootte is ook baie welkom.

Kom loer enige tyd tussen 09:00 en 15:00 in by die Ingenieurswese gebouekompleks, hoek van Banghoekweg en Joubertstraat (oorkant die Verkeersdepartement), Stellenbosch. 'n Toer van al die stalletjies neem so drie uur. Jy kan egter jou toer beplan om aan te pas by die tyd tot jou beskikking.

Sessies word ook aangebied waarin die Fakulteit se graadprogramme en ander belangrike inligting vir voornemende ingenieurstudente verduidelik sal word.

Toegang is gratis en almal is welkom. Sien jou daar!
